Two little deer,...

Two little deer
are looking at me
with screaming eyes,
requesting to be fed.
Their bones are hugging
tighter and tighter,
the inner lining of their fur.
Each passing moments
is like a breath of poison
vacuum sealing their lives
into portion packages of death.

Two little deer before me,
have fallen like timber
onto the half frozen ground
never to inhale another breath.
They so stun stiff
squirreled, trapped & replaying
the last moment of life
with orchestras of violins
adding dramatic harmony
in unison with
the sands of time
in loops and nooses
over and over again.

Author notes

Where I live, deer come daily to the edge of our backyard (new developement, there is no fencing of any kind) and we fed them.
